In order to make sure that planned targets are appropriate to market realities, insurance companies should apply a more intensive planning approach and highly necessarily, conduct a study and projection of the market size as a whole. This article, from the perspective of the insurance company, analyzes and explores issues such as choice of parameter for market size projection and features of different models and makes a comparison of them. It also suggests issues to be further studied, namely, external environment, parameterization of policy variables and productspecific market size projection.
